Glasgow City and the SWPL leaders are tied on points.

Glasgow City tied the leaders of the SWPL, Rangers and Hearts, with an 8-0 victory over Queen’s Park. City took advantage of the fact that neither Rangers nor Celtic were playing weekend league games because they had both been involved in Women’s Champions League activity over the previous five days. Glasgow took the lead after Sofia Maatta’s set-up was converted by Natalia Wrobel. Lisa Forrest’s goal in first-half added time put Queen’s Park farther behind.

Following the interval, City was given a penalties, which Nicole Kozlova scored. Maatta quickly scored two goals in a row. Before Kozlova scored two more to complete her hat-trick, Aleigh Gambone added her name to the list of scorers. While Aberdeen and Dundee United shared a point apiece from their 1-1 draw in the northeast, Partick Thistle defeated Motherwell 4-0 on the road. The Spartans defeated Montrose 3-0 to record their first victory of the year. Keira Chuter, Robyn McCafferty, and Erin Rennie all scored goals to give Jack Beesley’s team the victory.

At Fir Park, Tiree Burchill’s low drive put Thistle ahead, and in the 40th minute, Hannah Robinson’s long-range lob doubled Partick’s lead. The visitors’ lead was increased by goalkeeper Emily Mutch’s own goal after Cara Henderson’s strike, and Emma Lawton added a late fourth. Despite having the better of the game, Dundee United was only able to secure a point against Aberdeen. Katie Frew’s attempt struck the crossbar, followed by Megan Burns’ header, but Ella Cowie’s excellent goal gave the Tangerines the lead. Nevertheless, Niamh Noble had leveled the score for Aberdeen at halftime. Ashley Robertson also posed a threat for the visitors, but Megan Sidey made a fantastic save to deny Freya Brien a winner.
