The match between Banyana Banyana of South Africa and the Super Falcons of Nigeria in the last qualifying round of the 2024 Olympic Games is a “do or die” situation, according to head coach Desiree Ellis.

The match was won 4-0 overall by South Africa.

Ellis said, “It will be do or die (vs. Nigeria)” following the matchup with Tanzania.

“We would like to start camp early because doing so will increase our chances of success.”

A two-leg match between South Africa and Nigeria is scheduled for April 1–9, 2024.

One of Africa’s delegates at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris will be the overall victors.
