Wolves hold ‘preliminary talks’ with 16-goal striker wanted by West Ham

The attacker Boulaye Dia of Salernitana is apparently going to turn down a chance to return to Serie A, giving the Old Gold more time in the chase to sign him.

Following their recent relegation from the Italian first division, Salernitana has found it difficult to hold onto Dia. The team is situated in Salerno.

A rumored sum of approximately £8.5 million has been agreed upon by Lazio, who are anxious to sign the player, but the player is waiting for a different opportunity.

According to Express & Star, our sister daily, Dia has not yet accepted Lazio because he wants to consider a transfer to the Premier League.

Wolves and the player’s representation have discussed a potential bid because Gary O’Neil is keen to bolster his offensive line.

Wanderers’ lack of depth in the squad last season was a major problem, especially for their offense, therefore adding at least one striker is imperative.

Che Adams of Southampton has been offered better terms by the Saints, but he is in talks to join the Old Gold when his current deal expires.

Wolves will face West Ham in the Boulaye Dia Fellow Premier League match. Since Michail Antonio is expected to leave on a free transfer at the end of this month, West Ham is also searching for a new striker.

A summer bid is undoubtedly feasible because it was widely reported in January that the Hammers were considering bringing Dia to London Stadium.

Dia is expected to cost only £8.5 million, making her an excellent value for any prospective suitor.

Despite playing fewer minutes last season because of various muscular problems, the 25-year-old Senegalese international scored four goals in Serie A.

In 33 league games the previous season, he created six assists and scored sixteen goals, which was extremely good.
