The Wolves star claims he was “forced to join” since his departure was nearly certain.

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Fábio Silva has dramatically revealed he was “almost forced” to join the club back in 2020.

Since Silva joined at Molineux for an incredible £35 million from Porto, things haven’t gone as planned.

The 21-year-old had a very high ceiling when he signed as a teenager, but after just 72 games, he has only five goals and six assists, making him a tremendous failure.

Silva’s form has partially returned after loan stints at RSC Anderlecht, PSV Eindhoven, and Rangers; still, the striker has no future at Wanderers.

The striker has recently revealed in an insightful interview that it was doomed from the start.

“I had no idea of moving to Wolves at the moment, and I felt it wasn’t the right time. Silva shockingly declared, “I wanted to stay at Porto for another one or two years.”

“I nearly felt compelled.” They warned me that I would play for the B team and not support the club because of their dire financial situation if I didn’t depart. There was no way out.

While there were other interested parties, Wolves remained at the center of everything. Though in football, things happen behind the scenes that are out of your control, even though it would earn more money.

For everyone but me, it was a great deal, Silva added. Wolves prepared to release Silva Silva is apparently planning to permanently depart the West Midlands this summer, which could mean the end of the nightmare.

There will undoubtedly be other suitors eager to realize the attacker’s potential, despite reports in Portugal that Rangers won’t try to sign him long-term.

Silva is undoubtedly a fantastic talent, having scored 12 goals in 22 games for the Portugal Under-21 team. In addition, the striker has gained popularity everywhere he has gone save Wolves.

The amount of money up for grabs will determine how quickly he leaves because Wanderers won’t part with him for peanuts on the dollar.
