A former star for the Oregon Ducks, is predicted to go to the Dallas Cowboys at pick no. 31.

In a mock draft, Jackson Powers-Johnson, a former star for the Oregon Ducks, is predicted to go to the Dallas Cowboys at pick no. 31.

Many analysts believe that Jackson Powers-Johnson will be the top center selected in the 2024 NFL draft. It’s unclear how much the former Oregon Ducks star’s status will aid him in the Thursday draft.

On the offensive line, guards are prioritized over centers, with tackles being the most valuable position. However, Powers-Johnson appears to meet every requirement for a center, which is why clubs are always in need of one.

Charles McDonald and Nate Tice of Yahoo Sports believe that Powers-Johnson will be selected in the first round by the Dallas Cowboys at No. 31, having been traded to them in a mock trade with the San Francisco 49ers.

“After moving back, Dallas has the chance to get Powers-Johnson, a gifted player, at a critical position of need. The Cowboys are in need of a new center, and Powers-Johnson and Pro Bowl guard Tyler Smith might be a formidable combination.

Tyler Biadasz, a veteran center, signed a three-year contract worth up to $30 million with the Washington Commanders in free agency, which resulted in his departure from the Cowboys.

After the loss, they only had Brock Hoffman, a center who has started two games in his first two seasons, on the squad. They start to place a great premium on the center position, and in several mock drafts, they pick a center in the first round.
