Bulls Expected to Select Multi-Level Scoring Guard in Mock Draft

The Chicago Bulls have an 8.5% chance of landing a top-four pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, but they are more likely to select in the mid-to-late lottery. In a recent mock draft by Bleacher Report’s Jonathan Wasserman, the Bulls are projected to pick 11th overall. With a deep and talented draft class, the Bulls would have various options, and Wasserman predicts they will select Jase Richardson, comparing him to Reed Sheppard.

Richardson, 19, is seen as a multi-level scoring guard who can fit well into the Bulls’ rotation, especially alongside Josh Giddey or Coby White, thanks to his ability to play off the ball. Despite his impressive efficiency, Richardson will need to prove himself defensively against NBA-level competition, a challenge for all rookies.

The Bulls are expected to embrace a slower rebuild, focusing on building a sustainable roster through their own draft picks. According to Bulls Insider Sam Smith, the front office has shifted away from pursuing big-name free agents and is now prioritizing organic growth. Smith notes that the team is committed to sustainability rather than a quick fix to remain competitive.

Arturas Karnisovas, the Bulls’ Vice President of Basketball Operations, has also called for patience, acknowledging the team’s ongoing transition. He emphasized the importance of adding another player through the lottery and free agency to further build the team. Adding Richardson would be a step toward that goal, and re-signing Giddey would help solidify the roster for the future.
