Arsenal plan summer talks over Alexander Isak following Newcastle’s latest update.

Arsenal and Newcastle are set to face off in a summer friendly, as transfer rumors around Alexander Isak continue to swirl.

Arsenal have confirmed two fixtures in Singapore as part of their three-match pre-season tour of Asia. The Gunners will face AC Milan on July 23 and Newcastle United on July 27, with both games taking place at the National Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30pm local time.

Club managing director Richard Garlick expressed excitement about returning to Singapore, citing past visits in 2015 and 2018. He emphasized the opportunity to connect with fans in the region and the value of playing strong opponents ahead of the new season.

After their games in Singapore, Arsenal will head to Hong Kong to face Tottenham on July 31 before wrapping up their preparations back in London. The new Premier League season begins a few weeks later.

Their match against Newcastle gives Mikel Arteta a final look at striker Alexander Isak, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal. The Swedish international has scored 20 goals and provided five assists in 27 league appearances this season, playing a key role in Newcastle’s top-five position and Carabao Cup win.

Despite earlier interest, Arsenal have reportedly cooled their pursuit of Isak. According to *The i Paper*, Newcastle are unwilling to sell and have not provided an official valuation. Arsenal are now said to be focusing on Viktor Gyökeres and Benjamin Šeško instead.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Isak commented on his future, saying he’s focused on the current season and hasn’t had any contract talks yet. He remains open to discussions in the summer but is prioritizing helping Newcastle finish the season strongly.
