The Chicago Bulls secured their spot in the NBA Play-In Tournament for the third consecutive season, defeating the Toronto Raptors 137-118. While this achievement marks a notable accomplishment, it’s far from the championship goals the team should be striving for.
A 9-6 record in March and a Play-In berth might seem like progress, but it highlights how low expectations have become. It’s been 10 years since the Bulls made it past the first round of the playoffs, and 13 years since they were a serious contender. Yet, the team’s focus seems to be just staying competitive for the remaining games, aiming for a potential 14-9 record post-All-Star break.
Despite the muted goals, coach Billy Donovan remains a steady presence, providing perspective on the current situation.
