Newcastle United Verifies Coach’s Exit

Diarmuid O’Connell is leaving Newcastle United as a coach, the club has revealed.

As the head coach of Newcastle’s Under-21 team, O’Connell has been in charge of leading teams in Premier League 2 and nurturing elite players. Under O’Connell’s leadership, Newcastle’s Under-21 team finished in ninth place in the most recent Premier League 2.

Now he is departing the Magpies and is heading to the Czech Republic.

O’Connell has taken the role of first team coach at Czech giants Sparta Prague.

In a statement, Newcastle announced that Diarmuid O’Carroll, the head coach of the Newcastle United Under-21 team, had joined Sparta Prague of the Czech First League as a first team coach.

This season, Sparta Prague finished fourth in the Championship Group of the Czech premier division.

Newcastle will now begin the process of finding and hiring a new head coach for their Under-21 team.

“The process of recruiting a new Under-21s lead coach is under way,” the Magpies stated. Everyone will be watching to see who eventually lands a crucial position at the football team.
