The teenage striker has impressed early in Greece and is now heading to the Premier League.
Charalampos Kostoulas: The Greek Teen Star Headed for the Premier League
Charalampos Kostoulas has made a stunning start to his career in Greece, and now he’s set to join the Premier League. Greece isn’t known for producing football superstars, but the Olympiacos teenager is starting to change that narrative.
Dubbed a “marvel of nature” by Olympiacos sporting director Darko Kovacevic, Kostoulas has caught the attention of elite clubs like Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Manchester United. But it’s Brighton who are set to land him for £34 million.
Coming from a footballing family, Kostoulas followed in the footsteps of his father, a former Olympiacos defender. His talent was evident early on, and Olympiacos quickly moved to sign him and his brother. Since then, he’s led their youth sides to titles and become the youngest professional player in the club’s history.
He played a key role in Olympiacos’ UEFA Youth League triumph and was soon promoted to the senior team. After a slow start, he made history by becoming the youngest league goalscorer for the club and has since grown into a vital first-team player.
Now a Greece U21 international, Kostoulas scored seven league goals last season and contributed in Europe as well. Even when used as a sub, he delivered game-changing moments—like a late double against Aris.
As he prepares to take his talent to England, all eyes are on how far this teenage sensation can go.
