Ipswich Town’s head of analysis, Jamie Osman, has departed the club after a year to launch his own analysis consultancy.
Jamie Osman has left his role as head of analysis at Ipswich Town after just one season, opting to start his own consultancy business. He joined the Blues ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, following a 13-year spell at West Ham United, where he rose from the academy ranks to become head of performance analysis. Earlier in his career, he also worked with Portsmouth’s youth setup.
Reflecting on his journey, Osman shared on LinkedIn: “After 15+ years in club football, it’s time for something new. It’s been an unbelievable experience working with top managers, players, and staff—something I could only dream of as a kid.”
He noted the personal significance of his final match being between Ipswich and West Ham, the two clubs that shaped his career. Grateful for the memories and relationships he’s built, Osman now looks forward to a new venture.
His new company, The Football Analyst, will offer tailored analysis services to players, agencies, and clubs, including recruitment support and departmental reviews.
Osman is the second backroom figure to exit Portman Road this summer, following first-team coach Lee Grant’s move to become Huddersfield Town’s new manager.
