Newcastle United are on the hunt for a new striker this summer to strengthen squad depth ahead of a demanding season in the league, Europe, and domestic cups.
After missing out on Liam Delap to Chelsea, the club continues its search for a potential replacement for Callum Wilson. Joao Pedro and Arnaud Kalimuendo have been linked, but recent reports suggest renewed interest in Fiorentina striker Moise Kean.
Italian outlet *Calciomercato* claims Newcastle are “very interested” in Kean following his standout season in Serie A, where he scored 25 goals across all competitions. However, the club reportedly won’t pay his £43m release clause, meaning a lower fee would need to be negotiated.
Kean might be open to a Premier League return, but Newcastle face the challenge of convincing a top-level striker to join while Alexander Isak remains first choice in Eddie Howe’s system. Despite that, the club still needs strong cover for Wilson, especially with fixtures piling up on four fronts.
