Aston Villa set €20–25m asking price – seen as surprisingly low, could be overly optimistic.

Aston Villa may be willing to sell Emiliano Martinez for as little as €20–25m, according to reports from Turkey. The Argentine goalkeeper has been linked with Galatasaray as they search for a replacement for Fernando Muslera, who is returning to Uruguay for family reasons.

Turkish journalist Ali Naci Kucuk claimed Villa are open to offers in that price range, suggesting several high-level clubs are interested in Martinez. However, this valuation appears optimistic, especially as UK sources previously indicated Villa would seek around £40m for their star keeper.

Martinez reportedly wants a fresh challenge and a career “leap forward,” as per Argentina’s *Clarin*. However, a move to Turkey may not match those ambitions. Galatasaray are also targeting Real Madrid’s Andriy Lunin and Liverpool’s Alisson, with Lunin seen as the more realistic option.

Martinez, under contract until 2029, made 53 appearances for Villa this season.
