Newcastle United now has Bryan Mbeumo as an option after Chelsea’s £29 million decision.

Although they have other options, Newcastle United wants to sign Bryan Mbeumo.

There are no certainties that the Magpies will be able to complete a deal, despite Newcastle enjoying constructive conversations with Bryan Mbeumo.

Newcastle United may face challenges due to his high price tag and competition from other teams. According to reports, Manchester United and Arsenal are also interested in Mbeumo, and Brentford is preparing for a bidding war for the 25-year-old. Eddie Howe will be hoping that a deal can be reached, but it would be foolish for the Magpies to have no other options.

Chelsea make Noni Madueke transfer decision

A player Newcastle attempted to sign last summer has unexpectedly become available as they want to get a head start on the summer transfer market.

The Guardian claims that Chelsea is open to hearing proposals for Noni Madueke. “There is a feeling that the 23-year-old’s development has stalled,” the Guardian continues of Madueke. He paid £29 million to join Chelsea from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023, but he might be moving again this summer.

In 2024, Newcastle United desired Noni Madueke.

It’s unclear if Newcastle United will consider him before the 2025–2026 campaign begins. During the summer transfer window of 2024, he was strongly connected to a move to St. James’ Park; according to a report, Howe considered Madueke to be the “ideal” player. It was also alleged that Newcastle thought Madueke had a lot of potential.

That sentiment might not be present at Stamford Bridge any longer as Chelsea gets ready to cash in. They are in negotiations to acquire Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund, so they are looking to sign another winger. Although Mbeumo will continue to be the top target on Tyneside, there are other options. Howe has previously liked Madueke, so there may be another opportunity to grab him. The asking price is still unknown, but any suitor will hope that Madueke is significantly less expensive than he was last year. It was reported in August 2024 that Chelsea valued Madueke at £60 million.
