After a scouting mission, Newcastle wants to sign Mbeumo, a “world-class” forward.

Mohammed Kudus, a West Ham United star, is one of several Premier League wingers whom Newcastle United scouts are reportedly interested in after watching him play this season.

Kudus has a “special” £120 million release clause in his contract, according to GIVEMESPORT sources, and he has recently been linked to a move to the Saudi Pro League. For Premier League teams, that price drops to £85 million, and the Magpies seem to like the Ghanaian. Since moving to the London Stadium from Ajax in the summer of 2023 for £38 million, the 24-year-old has been a hit. He could continue in the Premier League by moving to St. James’ Park, but a high-profile departure might be imminent.

Newcastle “Extensively Scout” Kudus

According to Scott Wilson of The Northern Echo, Newcastle has “extensively scouted” three Premier League wingers this season, including Kudus. They have been keeping an eye on Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo and are eager to recruit Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, who is at the top of their wish list. Given that West Ham needs to balance the books at the London Stadium, Kudus’ future there is in question. During David Moyes’ tenure, they will try to turn a healthy profit on the 42-cap Ghanaian international, who is considered “world-class.”

Kudus gave his best performance under Moyes, who referred to him as “fantastic” following his goal in a 3-0 victory over Wolves in December 2023. His form has significantly declined this season, especially under Graham Potter, as he has only managed two goals and as many assists in 18 appearances. Earlier this month, Potter conveyed a strong warning to the winger. He stated, “We can see the talent, we can see the potential, but it’s our responsibility, and his, to try and get more” .

Kudus could be viewed as a potential replacement for Harvey Barnes, who is being linked with a move toAston Villa. The Villans view him as a Marcus Rashford replacement after the Manchester United forward’s loan expired, and he suggested he’ll not be staying.
