The arrival of Newcastle United will be revealed “next week,” and the attacker will sign a five-year deal.

According to reports from Spain last month, Newcastle United is expected to recruit Antonio Cordero, also known as Antoñito, of Málaga CF.

The 18-year-old’s contract expires in June and he’s refused to sign an extension with the Segunda División side.

Newcastle United are confident of securing his services on a free transfer in the summer window.

That’s according to Marca, who state the Magpies are already taking the winger’s arrival for granted.

According to the tabloid, Eddie Howe’s team will officially welcome the Spain U19 international “next week.” Additionally, they state that the procedure should be finished “no more” than a week. Marca thinks the Premier League team’s decision to offer Cordero a five-year contract demonstrates their faith in him. Newcastle United wants to develop the young player into a “Champions League player” because they are “so confident” in his ability to join them. The Tyneside club must place in the top five to achieve this. They are now in fourth place, one point ahead of Nottingham Forest in seventh place, and tied with Chelsea and Aston Villa in fifth and sixth place.
