Aston Villa could have a golden opportunity this summer, as Barcelona are reportedly open to selling Ferran Torres for around €50 million.
The Spanish winger still has two years left on his contract, but according to Fichajes, Barca are willing to listen to offers at the right price. While no specific clubs are named, Villa have previously been strongly linked with Torres.
Former Premier League scout Mick Brown even suggested that Unai Emery’s side would be frontrunners if the player became available. With 19 goals and seven assists this season, Torres has impressed despite not being a regular starter under Hansi Flick.
Given Villa’s rise to a top-four Premier League finish, Torres could be the perfect addition to push their project forward. At 25, he appears more mature and refined than during his earlier spell at Manchester City — possibly ready to make a major impact in England.
With Jhon Duran’s exit in January, Villa could use another attacking threat alongside Ollie Watkins. Torres may just be the big-name signing they need.
