Aston Villa’s North Stand redevelopment will increase capacity to 50,000+.

The redevelopment will raise the North Stand’s seating capacity to over 12,000.

Aston Villa’s redevelopment project will expand the North Stand to over 12,000 seats, contributing to an overall capacity increase at Villa Park to over 50,000. The renovation is set to be completed in the second half of 2027, ahead of the UEFA EURO 2028, where Villa Park will be a host venue.

The club has committed to a sustainable approach, reusing the existing North Stand structure for the expansion. This follows plans first proposed in 2022, initially suggesting a complete rebuild of the North Stand.

In addition to the stadium upgrades, West Midlands mayor Richard Parker has also revealed plans to redevelop Witton Station, located near Villa Park. Proposed improvements include larger passenger shelters, safer queuing systems, a new footbridge, and higher-capacity trains. These changes aim to double the station’s capacity to handle 10,000 passengers per matchday.

The expanded North Stand will offer more fans the opportunity to attend matches and improve the overall matchday experience.

Chris Heck, President of Business Operations, highlighted the electric atmosphere created by Villa fans and emphasized how the new improvements will ensure Villa Park remains a top-tier venue for years to come.
