Karou Mitoma set for Saudi move after Brighton’s big offer.

Brighton star Kaoru Mitoma may be heading to the Saudi Pro League this summer, with growing interest from clubs in the region, according to sources. Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke revealed that Middle Eastern clubs are now ready to make formal offers after expressing interest in recent months.

Despite rejecting a “huge offer” in January, Brighton is now open to selling the 27-year-old if the right bid comes in. Mitoma’s contract expires in 2027, and there are no plans to extend it, making it more likely that he’ll be sold in the near future.

Alongside interest from the Saudi Pro League, Premier League clubs like Liverpool and Chelsea have also been monitoring his situation, with Chelsea reportedly looking to strengthen their attack.

Brighton is expected to demand a significant fee for Mitoma, with former Man United scout Mick Brown indicating that the club will seek “huge” money for the winger’s departure. While Mitoma has been happy at Brighton, the club is willing to listen to offers if it results in a substantial profit.

Meanwhile, Brighton’s manager, Fabian Hurzeler, aims to strengthen the squad this summer as part of the club’s ambitious plans, which include potentially selling players before making new acquisitions.

Mitoma is not the only Brighton player attracting attention, as goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen has also been linked with a move, with Manchester United reportedly interested in him as a long-term replacement for Andre Onana. However, Brighton is determined to keep Verbruggen and is likely to demand a hefty fee if they decide to sell.
