Fabrizio Romano says any offer for Alexander Isak must be huge amid interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.

Rumors about Alexander Isak’s future at Newcastle will be everywhere this summer — it’s simply unavoidable for fans.

Normally, we’d expect to hear phrases like, “Newcastle face a fight to keep their star striker,” or some other doom-filled commentary. However, we’re so confident that the club will do everything possible to keep Alexander Isak, these rumors feel like nothing more than material for us to dismiss.

Of course, this confidence hinges on qualifying for the Champions League. If we miss out on a spot in Europe’s top competition, that confidence could take a hit.

For now, though, the optimism is high, and even outside sources like transfer expert Fabrizio Romano share this confidence.

Romano discussed Arsenal and Liverpool’s interest in Isak on his YouTube channel, stating that it would take something “crazy” to persuade Newcastle to sell. He said,

“Arsenal consider him a dream target, but it’s not an easy one. Liverpool really appreciate the player and have made some contact too. But the problem is Newcastle—they will make life very difficult for any club interested in Isak because they want to keep him. To change that, it would take something completely crazy.”

Regarding Barcelona, Romano acknowledged their interest but noted they couldn’t afford Isak, despite their previous spending history. Additionally, Yasir Al-Rumayyan has instructed the board to resist any offers for Isak, and the player himself has shown no signs of wanting to leave.

For now, we can simply laugh off these rumors. The panic button isn’t even in sight yet.
