Softball Stages 7th-Inning Comeback to Edge Michigan, 5-4

Oregon pulled off a thrilling comeback on Saturday afternoon, scoring three runs in the bottom of the seventh to defeat Michigan 5-4 at Jane Sanders Stadium. The win pushes the Ducks to 8-1 in conference play and 34-3 overall this season.

With the game tied, bases loaded, and two outs, Kedre Luschar delivered the clutch moment—smacking a walk-off single up the middle to bring home her sister Kai and seal the win. The Ducks will aim for a series sweep in the second half of the doubleheader, which was moved up from Sunday due to favorable weather.

Pitcher Elile Sokolsky was stellar in relief, tossing five scoreless innings while striking out six, walking three, and giving up just two hits. The effort improved her record to 11-1 on the year.

Oregon’s rally began with the bases loaded in the seventh, trailing 4-2. Shortstop Paige Sinicki drove in a run with a groundout, then Kaylynn Jones dashed home on a wild pitch to even the score. After an intentional walk to Rylee McCoy and a strikeout, Kedre came through with her game-winning hit—adding to an impressive season in which she’s batting .474 with 30 RBIs.
