Fulham, Sporting CP, and Ajax are all in the race to sign Panathinaikos right-back Georgios Vagiannidis ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to A Bola, Sporting have identified the 23-year-old as a key target for next season. However, they face strong competition from Fulham and Ajax, who have been closely monitoring the Greece international since January. Brazilian club Botafogo is also in the mix.
All three European clubs have reportedly made formal contact regarding a potential move, though it’s unclear whether Fulham reached out to Panathinaikos directly or to Vagiannidis’ representatives.
Sporting have already made a €6m bid, a figure first reported in Greece and now backed by A Bola. However, Panathinaikos rejected the offer, holding out for €10m.
Fulham must now intensify their pursuit if they hope to beat Sporting and Ajax in the battle for Vagiannidis.
