Crystal Palace shake-up continues as COO Sharon Lacey prepares to exit.

Lacey has spent 14 years at Crystal Palace.

Crystal Palace’s chief operating officer, Sharon Lacey, is set to leave the club, marking another major change in the club’s senior management.

Her departure follows the recent news that sporting director Dougie Freedman will also be leaving after eight years in his role. This latest exit adds to the ongoing shake-up behind the scenes at Selhurst Park.

According to *Standard Sport*, Lacey is expected to join the board of a club in the United States, with her time at Palace coming to an end in the next few weeks.

Lacey has been with the club for 14 years, previously serving as head of marketing and head of customer service. In her current role, she has been responsible for overseeing matchday staffing and the daily operations of Selhurst Park.

Her exit follows the departure of Aaron Duckmanton, Palace’s head of marketing, who left earlier this month after just seven months to take on the same role at Everton. Duckmanton had previously worked on marketing and digital content for Leeds United between 2021 and 2024.

In a 2019 interview, Lacey spoke about her deep connection to the club, saying:

“I’ve been to loads of different games now, from Championship to Premier League, but at Palace, there’s this strange forgiving nature for everything that happens. They’ve got the best banter, the fans, and so I suppose I’m a Crystal Palace fan and it’s where my heart is. I love the club.

“I’m really proud of the club that we are and the club that we’re so close to being.”
