Dolphins Exploring QB Options, Set to Meet with Texas’ Quinn Ewers
While the Miami Dolphins recently signed quarterback Zach Wilson to a one-year deal, they’re still evaluating potential additions through the draft. The team is scheduled to meet with Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers following his Pro Day, according to reports.
Ewers’ College Journey
Ewers, a former Ohio State transfer, thrived at Texas, leading the Longhorns to a 27-9 record and a College Football Playoff appearance in 2024. Over three seasons, he tallied 9,129 passing yards, 68 touchdowns, and a 64.9% completion rate. Though inconsistent at times, his quick decision-making and touch on intermediate throws could fit well in Mike McDaniel’s offense.
Can confirm Texas QB Quinn Ewers is having dinner with the Saints on Monday night. He's also meeting with the Jets, Raiders and Steelers today and will also meet with the Dolphins after Pro Day.

Dolphins’ Draft Strategy
Miami is unlikely to use an early pick on Ewers but is doing its due diligence on multiple QB prospects. With Wilson as a short-term solution, the Dolphins could still target a developmental passer in the mid-to-late rounds.
