Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy filed a lawsuit on Monday in Williamson County against his ex-fiancee, Tia Jones, accusing her of assault and theft. The lawsuit claims Jones “stole or destroyed over $150,000 worth of personal property,” including a handgun and $30,000 in cash.

Worthy is seeking between $250,000 and $1 million in punitive and exemplary damages. The lawsuit alleges that Jones “schemed to extort a home, money, cars, and other valuables” by fabricating domestic violence claims and leaking them to the press to damage Worthy’s career and reputation.

The alleged incidents occurred in February after Worthy discovered Jones’ infidelity. When he repeatedly asked her to leave, offering to find her a nearby apartment, Jones allegedly became violent. The lawsuit claims she destroyed Worthy’s game room—including his gaming desk, console (PlayStation 5), and the key to his Rolls Royce—and physically assaulted him by scratching his face and ripping out parts of his hair.

The lawsuit includes photos showing damage to Worthy’s game room and dreadlocks torn from his head. It also accuses Jones of damaging his “credibility, veracity, and reputation.”

Earlier this month, Worthy was arrested for felony domestic violence in Williamson County. However, District Attorney Shawn Dick declined to pursue charges after further investigation by the sheriff’s office and discussions with a third-party witness.

“After further investigation by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and further discussion with a third-party witness, Mr. Worthy and his attorneys, this case is being declined at this time pending completion of the investigation,” Dick’s office stated in an email to the *Austin American-Statesman*.

Despite the dropped charges, a Texas judge granted Jones a protective order against Worthy in the days following his arrest.
