Avalanche Dominate in Every Aspect

The numbers tell the story of just how one-sided the game was.

Shots on goal: Colorado outshot Ottawa 32-16, holding the Senators to just four shots in each of the final two periods.
Power play efficiency: The Avs converted twice on four chances, improving to 10th in the league with a 24.1% success rate.
Defensive effort: Blocking 20 shots, the Avalanche effectively shut down Ottawa’s attack before it could gain any momentum.

Beyond the stats, the Avs passed the eye test with ease. A four-goal first period set the tone, allowing them to cruise through the rest of the game. The victory is especially meaningful as the Senators remain in the playoff hunt, making this a statement win for Colorado.

Now 8-1-1 in their last 10 games, the Avalanche are heating up at the perfect time. With the standings tightening, every point matters in the race for postseason positioning.
