Crystal Palace offer free agent 4-year deal – Eagles make progress in signing.

At the end of January, reports from Turkey suggested that Bright Osayi-Samuel had turned down contract negotiations with Fenerbahçe in favor of a potential summer move to Crystal Palace.

The Nigerian international’s contract with the Turkish club is set to expire at the end of the season, and discussions over a renewal have stalled. Despite efforts, no progress has been made in extending his stay at Fenerbahçe.

Now, in March, Africa Foot has reiterated Crystal Palace’s strong interest in signing the right-back on a free transfer. The collapse of contract negotiations between the 27-year-old and Fenerbahçe—primarily due to salary disagreements—has led his representatives to explore other opportunities, with the Eagles emerging as a serious contender.

In fact, the former Queens Park Rangers defender has already begun talks with Crystal Palace regarding a potential move. The Premier League club has reportedly put forward a four-year contract offer in an effort to secure his services.

Osayi-Samuel is represented by Triple S Sports, and a source close to the agency confirmed to Africa Foot that Crystal Palace have shown genuine interest. They also revealed that the player would be open to joining the London side if Fenerbahçe fails to meet his salary demands.

“It is unlikely that Osayi-Samuel will stay in Turkey, as Fenerbahçe does not seem willing to offer him a salary increase,” the source stated.

“His entourage is already listening to offers, and Crystal Palace have shown real interest. The London club is offering him a four-year contract with an annual salary of €4.5 million. The negotiations are still at an early stage, but they are progressing positively.”

Meanwhile, Turkish outlet *Takvim* reported on Wednesday that Nottingham Forest have entered the race with a serious offer and even suggested that a pre-contract agreement is already in place with the player.

However, Africa Foot’s report makes no mention of Nottingham Forest or any other club aside from Crystal Palace.
