Speaking to the Everton website, Tamen expressed his desire to follow in the footsteps of fellow academy graduates like Martin Sherif, Isaac Heath, and Roman Dixon, who have recently been involved with the first team. “Everyone in the Academy strives to be where the first team are,” Tamen said. “You look at people like Martin Sherif, they’re getting those first-team opportunities. It’s where you want to be. When you’re up there, you better yourself because the standards are higher.”
Tamen also highlighted his eagerness to learn from experienced defenders like James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite, emphasizing his ambition to train with the senior squad and continue his development.
Everton’s Defensive Concerns and Summer Plans
The coming months could be pivotal for Everton, with significant changes expected in the squad during the summer transfer window. Jarrad Branthwaite’s future remains uncertain amid interest from Real Madrid, while Michael Keane is likely to depart as his contract expires.
