On Saturday afternoon, Sunderland will host Hull City, who are currently in 21st place, at the Stadium of Light. The doctor would prescribe a victory for Regis Le Bris’ team.

Last time out, Sunderland lost 2-1 to Leeds United at Elland Road, their first loss in eight league games.
Most people anticipated that outcome, but considering that Sunderland led the game until the 78th minute, it has been a tough pill to swallow.

After the game, Sunderland supporters expressed their worries over Regis Le Bris since his second-half replacements once again had no effect.

However, after the game, Le Bris defended his substitutions. There is currently doubt about his Saturday afternoon lineup and even who he will include in the matchday squad.
Latest injury and squad information for Sunderland vs. Hull City
Aji Alese and Niall Huggins are Sunderland’s long-term absentees who will not play this season. Ahmed Abdullahi and Jenson Seelt are still making progress and appear to be getting close to being selected for the first team.

Romaine Mundle is expected to play for Le Bris, which is the big news ahead of Hull City. After Mundle was not used as a substitute against Leeds United on Monday, Le Bris provided an injury update.

“It’s not just playing minutes,” the Black Cats manager stated. “It was a tough game with a strong environment both in and out of possession.” He wasn’t prepared for that, but he should be alright in another week.
However, Tommy Watson will not be part of the team because his recovery date has been somewhat delayed. Additionally, Jayden Danns is still out and there is no word on when he will be ready.
Sunderland vs. Hull City probable lineup
Against Leeds, Sunderland performed admirably. However, there are undoubtedly some areas in the team that are becoming poor, most notably in attack.

After making 29 appearances in the Championship so far this season, Sunderland supporters believe Chris Rigg deserves a break. Patrick Roberts, meantime, is still being criticized for his uninterested form of late.

However, because the team lacks right-sided midfielders, Roberts or Rigg will undoubtedly play against Hull in some capacity. It’s also possible that the seasoned Roberts may continue to play on the right of a 4-4-2 formation, with Eliezer Mayenda making a comeback to the starting lineup.

Given his dismal start for the team, Salis Abdul Samed might be left at home completely. That might give one of Le Bris’ young players—possibly Harrison Jones—a bench place.

Our prediction for Sunderland’s lineup against Hull City on Saturday is as follows:

Patterson (GK)

Cirkin

O’Nien

Ballard

Hume

Le Fee

The Bellingham

Neil

Roberts

Isidor

Mayenda
