Crystal Palace are closely monitoring Midtjylland striker Franculino ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports from Denmark.
The Eagles have reportedly dispatched scouts to observe the 20-year-old Guinea-Bissau international, whose performances this season have attracted interest from several Premier League clubs. Leicester City is also among the teams that have sent scouts to watch the forward in recent weeks.
In January, Palace added Millwall’s promising attacker Romain Esse to their ranks but are still seeking further attacking reinforcements, with Birmingham City winger Zaid Betteka also on their radar.
Palace Eyeing Franculino
Danish outlet Bold reports that Midtjylland hopes to secure a significant profit from Franculino, given the growing interest from English clubs. The 20-year-old has had a standout season, tallying 10 goals and five assists across all competitions.
Jacek Kulig has labeled Franculino “magnificent,” with the striker joining Midtjylland from Benfica’s academy in 2023. His current contract runs until June 2029.
Under manager Oliver Glasner, Palace have been on a good run, suffering just two losses in their last eight Premier League matches. They sit 13th in the league, seven points off 10th place as they prepare for a derby against Fulham.
Star Players on the Move?
Palace could face challenges retaining key players this summer, with defender Marc Guehi continuing to attract interest from Tottenham Hotspur. According to Fabrizio Romano, the England international “has chances to leave,” as his contract enters its final 12 months.
