Crystal Palace star eyed by Premier League rivals as Guehi and Mateta exit fears grow!

Another Crystal Palace star is reportedly catching the eye of a top club!

Manchester City Eyeing Crystal Palace Talent
Manchester City is reportedly the latest club to show interest in a Crystal Palace star, with several Eagles players currently attracting attention. Palace has made smart use of transfer fees in recent years, reinvesting earnings from sales like Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Michael Olise to secure talents such as Eberechi Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta.

Player Interest and Potential Sales
Both Eze and Mateta are on the radar of other clubs, with Marc Guehi also being pursued. While Palace is unlikely to sell all of their stars, they may allow one or two departures to finance new signings—a strategy that has proven effective in bringing in young, promising talent.

Adam Wharton on City’s Radar
Midfielder Adam Wharton, who made a name for himself at Blackburn Rovers before joining Palace, is another player reportedly catching attention. Wharton earned a spot in the England squad last summer, but his season has been disrupted by a groin injury that sidelined him for 14 games. He recently returned, making an appearance in Palace’s last Premier League match and starting in the FA Cup clash against Doncaster Rovers.

City’s Search for Midfield Depth
According to Football Insider, City is scouting Wharton as they seek more depth behind Rodri, who is out for the season with a knee injury. Having been burned by the underwhelming Kalvin Phillips signing, City is now doing their homework before making any new midfield acquisitions. Wharton’s progress at Palace could make him a serious contender for a move to the Etihad.
