Argentina international striker Valentín Carboni, 19, has been recalled by Inter Milan from his loan spell at Olympique de Marseille, both clubs have confirmed. Inter announced that, after discussions with Marseille and the player, an agreement was reached for the early termination of his loan. Marseille also confirmed the mutual decision.

Inter’s decision to bring Carboni back is logical, as the young forward is recovering from a season-ending ACL injury sustained while on duty with the Argentina national team. He managed just four appearances under Marseille manager Roberto De Zerbi early in the 2024-25 season before tearing his left ACL during the October international break.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Inter’s plan is to have Carboni available for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
