Real Madrid drop interest in Marc Guehi
Real Madrid have decided to halt their pursuit of Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, according to Real Madrid Confidencial. Despite initially tracking the 24-year-old, club president Florentino Perez has opted against making a bid.
Guehi remains a highly sought-after defender, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United all keen on signing him. Chelsea are open to bringing him back, while Arsenal and Liverpool view him as a crucial defensive addition. Manchester United are also eager to secure his services.
Madrid shift focus elsewhere
While Real Madrid initially considered a move, the club has chosen to prioritize other reinforcements.
Palace’s €60 million valuation and Madrid’s current defensive depth have contributed to their decision to step back.
Instead, Los Blancos are monitoring other targets, including Jonathan Tah and Dean Huijsen. While Guehi remains a respected talent, he is no longer a priority for Madrid.
With Madrid out of the race, Guehi is expected to decide his future soon, with the Premier League being his most likely destination. Meanwhile, Real Madrid will focus on strengthening other key areas in the squad.
