Walker, 19, has been with Championship rivals West Brom for the past nine years, rising through the academy ranks at The Hawthorns. Now, he’s eager to make an impact at the Bet365 Stadium after securing a permanent move to the Potters.

Currently sitting 18th in the league, Stoke City are five points clear of the relegation zone with 16 games left. Their recent 2-1 win over Hull City, with goals from Ali Al-Hamadi and Andy Moran, provided a crucial boost.

The Potters see Walker as a promising talent who could eventually break into the first team. He netted nine goals for West Brom’s Under-18s last season before stepping up to their Under-21s this year. Now, he’s set for a fresh challenge in Staffordshire.

Walker will initially develop under Dave Hibbert’s guidance with Stoke’s Under-21s, adding depth and competition to their attack. His arrival follows the signing of Ruben Curley from Manchester United, highlighting Stoke’s focus on future talent.

As Stoke fight to stay in the Championship under Mark Robins, their latest victory has created some breathing space from the drop zone. Now, they’ll aim to build momentum in the coming weeks.

After the Hull City win, Robins praised both his players and the fans, saying: “I’m delighted for the supporters… let’s really get behind them, and they will reciprocate with their performances.”
