‘Frustration Mounts’ – Player upset as Newcastle United yet to make a move for him.

Boca Juniors’ Kevin Zenón is reportedly frustrated with Newcastle United’s lack of concrete efforts to sign him, as per *Infobae*. The Magpies have frequently been linked with the 23-year-old, but no formal move materialized in the recent transfer window, leaving the player disappointed.

Newcastle’s interest in Zenón has been a recurring theme since last year. In October, *Pasión Fútbol* claimed the Premier League side were eyeing a winter move, and by November, reports suggested they wouldn’t hesitate to pursue him. By December, *L’Interista* even placed Newcastle in pole position to secure his signature. However, despite growing interest and concerns from Boca supporters, as highlighted by *Epoca* last month, a deal never came to fruition.

Zenón, who joined Boca Juniors from Unión Santa Fe in January 2024, initially impressed under former manager Diego Martínez. However, his performances have dipped since last summer’s Olympics, and the arrival of new coach Fernando Gago in October hasn’t reignited his form. Adding to his frustration are unsuccessful offers from Newcastle and a top Bundesliga club, as well as FC Porto’s €12m bid, which fell short of Boca’s €20m valuation.

The lack of a transfer and his recent struggles have reportedly left Zenón with a sense of ‘personal annoyance,’ as he looks to reignite his career amid ongoing speculation.
