Leicester City tells the striker he can quit the team at any time.

Due to the Profit and Sustainability Rules, Leicester City has had difficulties during the most recent transfer window.

With the champions from the previous season in 17th place in the league, Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s club is still in danger of being relegated.

They still hope to add players to their roster this month, but in order to balance their budget, they might have to let go of some players.

Leicester City striker Patson Daka with Manchester City striker Erling Haaland

Woyo Coulibaly was the lone player the club added during the winter transfer window, but if they can get rid of one of their first team players to relieve some of the financial strain, other players might join them shortly.

Van Nistelrooy’s team may lose midfielder Wilfred Ndidi to AS Monaco prior to the transfer deadline. According to iPaper, Leicester City is willing to accept offers for the attacker and is prepared to let Patson Daka leave the team. It is not surprising that they are considering selling Daka, as the striker has only started one league game this season and is clearly behind Jamie Vardy in the club’s hierarchy. If Daka were to leave, the only backup option would be Odsonne Eduoard, but it shows how financially troubled they are that they are willing to reduce their roster.

The Leicester City player has been linked to Everton, as the Toffees are trying to find a replacement for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who is injured.

After signing Daka in 2021, the Foxes have failed to gain a return on their investment in the attacker who entered the club with so much expectations and possibilities of a spectacular return.

However, his move has not worked out for the player as well as the club as Leciester have relied largely upon their great attacker Vardy.

For the previous league champions, Daka has only scored ten goals in 64 Premier League games, which is a disappointing return for a striker of his caliber.

Leicester has to decide what to do with Daka’s future because the transfer window is almost over.

Because of their dire financial circumstances, the club seems to have little choice but to let the attacker go, even though supporters would rather that he stay so they have another striker to rely on in their fight for relegation this season.
