Leeds United made a late interest in Newcastle United defender Matt Targett, and Newcastle’s position on the potential transfer of the left-back has now surfaced.

However, Leeds were reportedly not considering a left-back in the last few days of the transfer window. Leeds has been holding off on adding players like Ao Tanaka until the last few days of the transfer window.
