As the deadline of February 3rd draws closer at Elland Road, Leeds United is keeping their options open in the winter transfer market.
Even though Daniel Farke has made it clear that his team isn’t in “panic mode” about signing new players, the German has approved outgoings in January, which may allow for roster enhancements.
With Pascal Struijk’s injury situation improving, Farke won’t be searching for a center-back; nevertheless, an attacking midfielder, wide forward, or striker may still arrive at Elland Road.
Louie Barry’s departure update Leeds United is on high alert.
According to the Yorkshire Post, Aston Villa forward Louie Barry, who is admired by the Whites and appears to be half the Championship (at least), may soon be made available for loan.
After approving a recall during Barry’s productive tenure with Stockport County in League One, Villa manager Unai Emery intends to send him out once more, which could spark a flurry of transfer activity.
“We are very happy with Barry, but we have one plan with him and that is to extend his contract and continue his process as a player, as well as to go on loan, get experience and confidence,” Emery stated in words obtained by The Yorkshire Post.
Graham Smyth is unable to imagine Kelechi Iheanacho joining Leeds United.
Former Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, who is currently being tutored by Victor Orta at Sevilla, is expected to move to Elland Road before February 3rd, according to a report published by SCORENigeria on January 23.
But since Iheanacho is in considerably poorer condition than any of Farke’s present choices, Yorkshire Evening Post journalists Graham Smyth and Joe Donnohue were keen to dispel any connections to him.
Smyth stated on the Inside Elland Road podcast: “This one doesn’t make a lot of sense.” Regarding the links, there are those that make you say, “That doesn’t get me out of my armchair.”One’s wages. How another of his seasons has gone. Leeds is keeping an eye on Patrick Bamford to determine whether they require a striker. However, we are aware that Farke is content with [Mateo] Joseph and [Joel] Piroe.
Cardiff’s position on Leeds United’s target is clear. Tanner, Ollie
The Peacocks have a plethora of alternatives available to them.
However, it hasn’t stopped them from showing interest in Ollie Tanner, a 22-year-old winger for Cardiff City.
However, Bluebirds manager Omer Riza has stated that Tanner will remain in the Welsh capital this transfer window, even if Cardiff is firmly rooted in the bottom tier of the Championship standings.
“Ollie is a young boy, he’s one of ours, and he’s doing really well,” Riza stated in statements published by leedsunited.news on January 25.
“He’s performing great, and we need him just as much as we need every other player on our team. He is mostly focused on carrying out his duties at Cardiff.
In other Leeds news, if one former player completes a seven-figure move, the Peacocks may receive a minor transfer windfall.
