While on his live Monday night countdown show, Jason Kelce makes fun of Dallas as the “butthole and armpit” of America.

On Monday, December 9, while covering the Dallas Cowboys vs. Cincinnati Bengals game at AT&T Stadium, Kelce made the comment.

The 37-year-old retired NFL player mockingly referred to Arlington and Dallas as the “butthole” of America during a live Monday Night Countdown broadcast on Monday, December 9. The Dallas Cowboys were playing the Cincinnati Bengals when the camera panned over the top of AT&T Stadium in a video that was shared on X (previously Twitter). Over the video, cohost Scott Van Pelt then remarked, “This is the state of Texas, Arlington, Dallas.

Kelce interrupted at this point, joking, “Also the armpit and butthole of America.” “Hey! Hello! Whoa! His co-hosts reacted right away to Kelce’s insistence that “It was a joke!”

“I was joking … see now I …” he said while looking around at the panel.

“Guys, it was just a joke because of what Mina said, he added in reference to an earlier comment made by Mina Kimes on the show when she, Drew Carter and Dan Orlovsky appeared as animated Simpsons-themed versions of themselves during their coverage of the game, according to the New York Post.

“We’re having fun here. I love Dallas,” Kelce added. “We got the cowboy hats.”

This is Kelce’s first season on Monday Night Countdown, after joining the live coverage show following his retirement from the Philadelphia Eagles in March.

Last week, he was spotted filming for his other new show, the upcoming They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce, which premieres on ESPN in January.

Per videos shared on social media, Kelce drove an Eagles “helmet car” golf cart as he sported a Mummers costume through the Philadelphia neighborhood of Old City — when his vehicle flipped over.

Kelce drove the gold cart around, causing it to tip to the side and then slide sideways to the ground, while driving it alone on an empty road, according to a video of the incident that was uploaded on X. After making an appearance on Monday Night Countdown on Monday, December 9, Kelce seemed to be completely over the collision.
