Why Gary O’Neil wants to reduce Wolves’ pressure before cellar fights.

Ahead of two crucial fights at the bottom of the table, Wolves manager Gary O’Neil wants to relieve his players of some of the burden.

Gary O’Neil wants to relieve his Wolves team’s strain by stating that their next two games at Molineux are not “must wins.” Their late-game comeback at Brighton, which gave them their second point of the season, gave Wolves hope.

However, after nine games this season, they have yet to win, and they now have two home games against Southampton and Crystal Palace, two more struggling teams.

Wolves will need to finally get three points in order to restart the season and guarantee O’Neil’s job, but the head coach is ignoring the outside chatter.
