What Matheus Cunha just shared on social media will be adored by all Wolves supporters.

Matheus Cunha is a well-liked character at Wolves, and his most recent Instagram post will only grow in popularity among the supporters. The club’s dismal start to the new season has left a bad taste in the air at Molineux right now.

Despite the fact that Wolves have lost four of their opening five games, Gary O’Neil is under increasing pressure, even if it’s believed that his job isn’t in danger right now. With the fixtures, it was always going to be difficult. However, the way Wolves have faltered in games and lost from leading positions has alarmed supporters.

Then, there was news of Yerson Mosquera likely being out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury, which left fans dismayed.

So it’s all a bit doom and gloom, but Matheus Cunha at least gave Wolves fans a reason to smile yesterday evening.

Eagle-eyed Wolves fans spot something cheeky in Matheus Cunha’s Instagram postThe Wolves players are getting ready for this weekend’s crucial matchup with Liverpool.

The Reds travel to Molineux with the intention of causing Wanderers even more suffering. As usual, Cunha will be crucial for Wolves, and maybe he can add to the two goals he has already scored this year. At Molineux, Cunha is a much cherished character. Since he joined in January 2023 after paying approximately £44 million to Atletico Madrid, he has gained a lot of admirers. Because of his contagious nature and apparent understanding of what it means to play for the Wolves, he is very easy to cheer for.

Cunha is also not above a bit of cheekiness every now and then.

The player posted some photos of himself working out in the gym on Instagram yesterday night in preparation for the Liverpool match. Cunha himself was seen on one of the TVs in one of the photos, which several Wolves supporters noticed. It was during his celebration after scoring against West Bromwich Albion in the FA Cup at the Hawthorns last season. After scoring to make it 2-0, Cunha celebrated in one of the most memorable ways a Wolves player had in years, gesturing as though he owned the stadium.

What a man

Cunha’s post is bound to bring smiles to Wolves fans’ face, as they think back to that fantastic day against West Brom.

Arguably, that 2-0 FA Cup win was the last big high for Wolves fans, and things have really tailed off since.

That was probably the day that Cunha truly endeared himself to the Molineux faithful, and the celebration will not be forgotten in a hurry.

Wolves fans are longing for more moments like that but for the moment, it looks as though it will be all about simply weathering the storm.
