Tony Bloom urged to seek out Rangers investment over Hearts as £10m WOULD bring Ibrox board to the table

Rangers should be the team Tony Bloom’s sports research company Starlizard chooses to invest in rather than Hearts. According to Jim Duffy, the owner of Brighton is in negotiations with the Jambos over a potentially £10 million contract that would see the Tynecastle club use Bloom’s sport research company to attract players. Within the next two years, Bloom may look to acquire a minority position in the capital club as part of the proposed investment. The idea would need to be approved by Foundation of Hearts members in order to move forward, but the former manager of Hibs and Dundee believes that the English Premier League supremo should be considering another Scottish Premiership team. The Light Blues are looking for funding because there are modifications taking place at the top level of the club.

Former director John Gilligan has taken over as chairman in lieu of outgoing chairman John Bennett, temporarily. Additionally, the team is still looking for a new CEO after James Bisgrove resigned earlier this year to join the Saudi Pro League.

And Duffy told Clyde 1 Superscoreboard that Bloom’s company should “look at” Rangers: “I don’t get the Tony Bloom thing at Hearts; they are going to put £10m in and deal with the recruitment.
“Why wouldn’t you consider Rangers? They have a huge fan following and are a massive club. “Since their hiring process hasn’t been the best, you go in with your analysis firm and tell them, ‘We will look at the players.'” One would expect that a team like the Rangers would need to investigate it.
