Liverpool is becoming more and more interested in a possible transfer for Jamal Musiala, the attacking midfield player for Bayern Munich, who is also drawing interest from Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain.
The 21-year-old’s current contract at the Allianz Arena is coming to an end, and while Bayern has stated their intention to sign Musiala to a new long-term agreement, CaughtOffside says that Liverpool has been on high alert.
Speaking to CaughtOffside, Fabrizio Romano disclosed that although Bayern are still optimistic about extending Musiala’s contract, an agreement has not yet been reached, and the procedure may take some time.
It follows that other elite teams’ interest in recruiting the gifted young German player is not shocking.
Can Liverpool entice Musiala to the Liverpool area? Even at the young age of 21, Musiala is considered one of the best possibilities in European football.
If he dedicates his future to the club, he has the ability to become a Bayern legend and could play a significant role in both the squad and German football overall.
Premier League teams may have some chance of persuading Musiala to return to England, despite his ties to English football—he played for both Germany and England in his youth career and spent a portion of his youth career at Chelsea.
Premier League sides could feel optimistic about luring Musiala if he continues to delay signing a new contract with Bayern. Although some sources suggest that staying at Bayern remains his priority, Musiala appears open to exploring other options, including a potential move to the Premier League
Liverpool and Man City, in particular, could try to persuade him, but his current asking price, reportedly around €180 MILLION, would be a significant hurdle for any club hoping to secure his services.
Negotiating that fee with Bayern would be the first challenge, before even considering whether Musiala would be tempted by a switch.
