Central Florida Leaders of the Latino Democratic Party attempt to maneuver Sunshine State to support Kamala Harris.

Florida’s Central Hispanic political contenders contend that Hispanics in Florida stand to gain nothing from Donald Trump.

In an effort to boost support for Kamala Harris and her vice presidential contender, Mike Walz, Florida Latino leaders organized a Democratic rally in Central Florida on Saturday.

Attempting to unseat Republican incumbent Rick Scott, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate Debbie Mucarsel-Powell gave the keynote address at Saturday’s Latino con Harris-Walz event. She asserted that Florida will not really benefit from the policies of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and Scott.

Florida residents have endured far too long as a result of Donald Trump’s and Rick Scott’s harsh policies and numerous mistakes, according to Mucarsel-Powell.

“Today, as a result of Trump and Rick Scott, home insurance premiums are surging because they deny climate change, an extreme abortion restriction is endangering women’s lives, and Florida is growing too expensive for our families to reside here.

Together, we will send Vice President Kamala Harris to the White House in November because Floridians are ready for change.

Additionally present was Florida State Senator-elect Carlo Guillermo Smith, who contended that Harris’s ideas are superior to those of the Trump ticket, which includes JD Vance as his vice presidential nominee.

“David Trump faced legal action as a landlord due to alleged discriminatory tactics; his family’s business turned away Black and Puerto Rican applicants.

Smith, the Democrat representing Orange County’s District 49 State Senate Seat, claimed that his government favored the wealthy by offering tax breaks to wealthy real estate developers while raising rents on working-class and middle-class people.

Vice President Harris was raised in a middle-class home and learned the significance of opportunity and the virtue of hard effort. Additionally, Vice President Harris has a proposal to cut rent and guarantee that everyone can find housing, making housing more accessible and inexpensive.

U.S. Representative Darren Soto, a Democrat running for reelection to Florida’s 9th Congressional District, which includes parts of Polk and Orange Counties and Osceola County, was among the other Latino leaders in attendance. Thomas Chalifoux, a Republican, and Marcus Carter, an independent, are his opponents.
