Harris praises Cheneys for his “brave” support.

The Democratic nominee for president, Kamala Harris, praised Republican former vice president Dick Cheney and his daughter Liz, a former US representative, on Saturday, calling them “courageous” for prioritizing country before party.

In Pittsburgh, Harris was getting ready for the September 10 debate with Donald Trump, her Republican opponent with whom she is in a close contest for the November 5 vote.

While taking a break from preparing for the debate, Harris stated, “I’m honored to have their endorsement,” while greeting customers and purchasing spices at Penzeys Spices in the Strip District.

The daring declaration that “it’s okay, if not important, to put the country above party” was being made by both Cheneys, according to her.

Dick Cheney, the Republican George W. Bush’s vice president from 2001 to 2009, declared on Friday that “there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump in our nation’s 248-year history.” Liz Cheney declared on Wednesday that she will support Harris and referred to Trump as a “danger.” In a social media post on Friday, Trump referred to Dick Cheney as a “irrelevant RINO along with his daughter,” abbreviating “Republicans in Name Only,” a slur he uses to describe Republicans who do not support him.
