Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, stated that he hopes Vice President Kamala Harris wins the election in November.
Speaking on Thursday in Vladivostok, Russia, at the Eastern Economic Forum, Mr. Putin declared that he would carry out the advice that President Biden gave to all of his followers. “We declared earlier that Biden was our top choice.
According to Politico, the Russian president declared, “So now we will do as he said, we will support her.”
Mr. Putin both praised one of Ms. Harris’ most famous tics and reiterated a point former President Donald Trump often makes in deriding what he calls the “Russia. Russia. Russia” obsession among Democrats and the mainstream media.
“Second, she laughs so expressively and infectiously. That means that she is doing well,” he said. “Trump has imposed more sanctions on Russia than any president has imposed before, and if Harris is doing well, then perhaps she will refrain from doing this kind of thing.”
His comments come after Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Russian TV reporter Pavel Zarubin in an interview that they prefer Democrats because they are “more predictable.”
“And what Putin said about Biden’s predictability applies to almost all Democrats, including Ms. Harris,” Mr. Peskov said last weekend.
