According to Graeme Souness, Trent Alexander-Arnold, a star for Liverpool, has “made up his mind” to join Real Madrid.

The legendary player for Liverpool, Graeme Souness, asserts that Trent Alexander-Arnold may have already “made up his mind” to join Real Madrid in the summer and that the team’s new manager, Arne Slot, is making indications.

Despite being a constant cog in Liverpool’s machine in previous years, Alexander-Arnold’s future with the team is unknown. With only 12 months remaining on his current deal, the full-back—who came through the Reds’ academy—shares a situation with Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.

In Liverpool’s first three games under new manager Slot, Alexander-Arnold has been substituted out early, and Souness thinks this is an indication that the 25-year-old wants to move on.

According to Trent Alexander-Arnold, who was speaking on William Hill’s Three Up Front podcast, “he’s got an unbelievable delivery, and his game is perfect for Real Madrid. Plus, he’s good friends with Jude Bellingham.”

“He might wind up at Madrid, and Liverpool might have already received that message.” Other than letting Manchester United know that Trent is departing, I don’t see any compelling reason to bench him against them. He will play for free at the end of the season, but they would still like to have him on staff.

The message that he’s made up his mind may already have been relayed to the higher-ups at the club. He’s running his contract down.

‘If you’re going to leave Liverpool, where else other than Real Madrid can you really go to better yourself?’

While Alexander-Arnold has not spoken publcially about his contract situation, Slot has previously explained the decision to bring off the right-back in the early part of the season.

‘Trent came back from the national team where in the beginning of the tournament he played quite a lot then he didn’t, had a few weeks off, came back – this was only his third game,’ the Duthcman said after the Reds’ 2-0 win over Brentford.

We have to take care of him because we need him for the whole season and not only for the first two games. The good thing for me is I have a very good back-up with Conor. That means we are taking care of Trent but he played a good game.’
