Why PSV honors North Brabant Olympians during home game with NEC

All athletes from Brabant who were and are active at the Olympic and Paralympic Games have been invited by PSV to be honored during PSV – NEC on September 14.

At halftime of the league match against Nijmegen, which is also dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Eindhoven’s liberation, the top athletes will make a lap of honor at Philips Stadium.

The honoring of the North Brabant Olympians is an initiative of PSV in cooperation with BrabantSport.

PSV’s Managing Director Marcel Brands likes the fact that athletes from other disciplines are put in the spotlight at the Philips Stadium. “Sport fraternizes and we are a club that likes to connect.

That suits us and our region. So how nice is it that you can welcome precisely these athletes from North Brabant to your stadium? We enjoyed our Olympic athletes.

Everyone here is extremely proud of them. They more than earned that lap of honor in a sold-out stadium,” Brands said.
