Though there have been concerns about Leeds United’s window thus far versus the 49ers, things may be about to change in the next few days.
It has taken until the last week of the window for things to start happening after Leeds sold Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville, and Georginio Rutter, who were all denied promotion the previous season.
It was made evident that this was untrue when Leeds stated in their official statement following Gray’s departure that the money they received for him would go toward keeping other important players.
But all of that may be forgotten very quickly if Leeds can close out the window with a strong performance in the last few days. After a 32-day wait for a signing, Largie Ramazani signed last week. Four more players may follow, with Manor Solomon scheduled to sign today.

This is reflected in a £13 million bid for Gustavo Hamer of Sheffield United, albeit that is still very much subject to change despite rumors he has agreed to personal terms.
Although adding Roland Sallai would be a major statement of intent for Leeds, Hamer would still be a huge coup for the team. Sallai is apparently eager to transfer, and Leeds is now reportedly pressing hard for a £7.6 million deal with Freiburg for the player.
Sallai is the best signing in the Championship at that price, especially when you take into account his background at both the club and international levels.
Sallai would give Leeds’ youthful front line that extra piece of experience while also being the perfect combination of right winger and number ten. He would replace Rutter.
The 27-year-old has played regularly for Freiburg for multiple seasons and has been capped 52 times by Hungary, who are undoubtedly formidable opponents on the global scene.
With him joining a group that already includes Dan James, Brenden Aaronson, Wilfried Gnonto, Ramazani, and Solomon, Leeds would have the strongest offensive group in the league.
Leeds will compete in Ligue 1 for Sallai. Fans will naturally become excited to hear rumors that Leeds is currently making a lot of effort to sign Sallai, but the transaction is still far from finalized.
An unidentified French Ligue 1 team is expected to challenge Leeds, and it is always hard to turn down major interest.
But if Leeds can get players like him, there’s a strong possibility he’ll be playing in the top league in the world in a year. Leeds needs to provide these players with that kind of route in order to close agreements.
