Wolves are “in negotiations” to sign a £21 million Manchester United target; the club is for sale.

In the race for a Brazilian midfield player, Wolverhampton Wanderers has pulled ahead of Manchester United. The Brazilian international Andre from Fluminense is apparently being pursued by the Old Gold after encouraging first discussions.

Early on Friday morning, TNT Sports BR revealed that Wolves and Manchester United were both interested in the midfield player. The player’s representative was in contact with both teams to discuss the negotiation process.

Football Transfers now claims that Wolves has gained ground in the competition. According to reports, Wanderers are intensifying their pursuit and are optimistic that they will reach a deal, while Man Utd are maintaining Andre as a possibility but are holding back.

According to rumors, Fluminense is up for sale, and if the deal closes, it may be worth between €25 million (£21.1 million) and €30 million (£25.4 million).

For a number of years, Andre has been associated with moves to the Premier League; this summer, Liverpool, West Ham United, and Fulham expressed interest in signing him.

According to reports, the 23-year-old is keen to go to England in order to realize a longtime desire, offering Wolves a good chance of signing him..

Since making his debut for the senior Brazil national team in June 2023, Andre has appeared in five games. Joao Gomes, a notable player for Wolves, also has the same agency as Andre. Since the two are international colleagues, Gomes may be able to speak highly of the Old Gold.

However, Gary O’Neil’s team has a tight transfer budget, so it’s unclear how they intend to handle the deal’s finances. In theory, a loan with a future purchase obligation would be feasible, but it would be difficult.

Wolves will be signing a 196-time Fluminense appearance maker with experience at the international and continental levels if they are successful in closing the deal for Andre. Though Andre may need some time to adjust, he has the potential to be a very good player. He’s still not quite there yet.
